Dr. Elisa Fiorentino graduated with Honours from the University of Waterloo in 1999 and returned to her hometown of Winnipeg to practice at For Eyes Optical and Transcona Optical. She was the recipient of the E.J. Chisholm Memorial Scholarship for academic and clinical proficiency in Pediatric Optometry. As part of her training, she completed an internship in ocular disease at the Omni Eye Centre in Baltimore, Maryland. Through her years of practice, she has served as the co-chair of the Continuing Education committee for the Manitoba Association of Optometrists, as well as on the board of directors for the Manitoba Division of the CNIB. She is of Italian background and she is also fluent in French. Through her years of practice, she has greatly enjoyed providing comprehensive eyecare to generations of families. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and watching her two boys play hockey and basketball.
Dr. Alissa Boroditsky joined For Eyes Optical in 2005 after graduating with honors from the University of Waterloo. A highlight from her years of schooling was an externship at the Karolinska Eye Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. This is where she first gained interest and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. Since then, this continues to be a passion of hers. She enjoys seeing patients in both English and French and welcomes patients of all ages. She appreciates taking the extra time and care with patients and the relationship that has evolved over the years because of it. During her years of practice she has served as a continuing education chair for the Manitoba Association of Optometrists and as an optometric delegate to the CNIB.
Dr. Boroditsky is originally from Winnipeg and is a mother to three children. In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and watching and coaching her kids in a variety of sports.
Dr. Steven Malo graduated with Honors in 2006 from the University of Waterloo’s School of Optometry. During his final year at university, he interned at a leading eye disease referral center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Malo is originally from the small town of Simcoe, Ontario. He decided to move to his wife’s hometown of Winnipeg where he began practicing in Portage la Prarie before joining For Eyes Optical in 2009. Dr. Malo is currently a member of the complaints committee for the Manitoba Association of Optometrists. Dr. Malo enjoys raising his young family and playing hockey and golf in his spare time.
Pam is best known for her personality, laughter and incredible sense of fashion. She has been in the optical industry for over 40 years and a lead stylist at For Eyes for 30 years. Her passion for unique eyewear and personable nature make shopping for glasses a memorable and seamless experience.
She is originally from Plum Coulee, Manitoba and is a fabulous mom to her two boys. In her free time she loves to garden, spend time with her family and dogs and travel.
